Wolves strip off for Everyman!
Wolverhampton Wanderers FC have teamed up with Harvey Nicols in Birmingham to stage a charity fashion show next month in aid of Everyman. Showcasing their fancy footwork on the runway rather than the pitch, a selection of players will join professional models in showcasing clothes from the new collections of Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Dolce and Gabbanna, Polo Ralph Lauren and Christian Audigie at the Mailbox store.
Wolves manager Mick McCarthy says "As ever the players are only too happy to do what they can to help out and are looking forward to an enjoyable evening which we hope will raise a lot of money for a very worthwhile cause".
Hosted in the Hayward Suite at the famous Molineux Stadium, the event will be stages on Wednesday April 7, from 7pm.
Tickets cost from £35 and 25% of the ticket price will be donated to Everyman. Call the Wolverhampton Wanderers commercial office on 0871 222 2220 (option 4) or email them here for further details.

Hammersmith and Fulham FC crowned Keep Your Eye on the Ball Cup 2009 Champions!
At Goals in Perry Barr, Birmingham on Sunday 20th December, a team from London won £1000 and were crowned the first ever winners of the Keep Your Eye on the Ball Charity Cup, a nationwide 5-a-side football tournament raising money for Everyman's research into male cancer.

The tournament kicked off on Sunday 29th November, and over the last month, has seen Goals Soccer Centres play host to Champions League style heats at each of the 33 branches across the UK.
Winners from each branch travelled to Birmingham to participate in a one-day, knock out competition, with Hammersmith and Fulham FC receiving the prestigious accolade of being named the nations top 5-a-side team.
A total of 357 teams originally entered the competition and all Goals branches have been raising funds, with proceeds going to help fund research into testicular and prostate cancer at the Everyman Centre, Europe’s only dedicated male cancer centre.
‘The response we have had from lads cross the country has been fantastic,’ commented Everyman’s Jon Street. ‘The final was hugely competitive and Hammersmith and Fulham FC were deserved champions. We can’t thank Goals and the players enough for their support and we look forward to more of the same when we stage the competition again next year.”
The Keep Your Eye on the Ball campaign was founded by Everyman, the Professional Footballers Association and The Football Association in 2000 in response to several high profile players including Neil Harris, Alan Stubbs and Jason Cundy being diagnosed with testicular cancer. The campaign aims to raise awareness of male cancer, and funds towards, our research into these diseases.
Everyman Team enter the KYEOTB Charity Cup
Wimbledon Goals hosted 2nd heats of the Cup on Sunday 6th December and our very own Everyman Team went along to show all the other teams how it's done.
7 teams played and our team was in Division 1 where we played AC Youths, Sutton FC and Hustlers. We didn't get off to the best start against AC Youths who beat us 5-0 and unfortunately it was downhill from there with Sutton FC beating us 9-2 and Hustlers 4-0. For a team who had never played together before the Everyman team did really well. We didn't make it to the final but we'll be getting our practice in for next year.

Dons raise cash in honour of John Hartson

Dina from Everyman is awarded with the cash by Ivor Heller and Michael Negrepontis of AFC Wimbledon
More than £1500 was raised for our research into prostate and testicular cancer in honour of ex-Don John Hartson, in a collection at 15th August's 1-1 draw with Luton.
The money was raised following the news Hartson, now 34, has testicular cancer. He underwent emergency surgery as the illness spread and will continue to have chemotherapy after being released from hospital.
Michael Negrepontis of AFC Wimbledon said, "After hearing the news about John Hartson we decided to have a collection at our first Blue Square Premier home game of the season against Luton Town. Before the game we went around with the collection buckets and at half time we went around the pitch with a blanket and fans through coins into the blanket. We raised a total of 1526.62 in in aid of research into testicular and prostate cancer."
Hartson scored 20 goals in 61 appearances from 1999-2001 following a £7.5m transfer from West Ham - a club record.
Everyone at Everyman wishes Jon well on his road to recovery.
Football League backs Help for Heroes as first ever charity partner.
Help for Heroes was chosen following a vote on the Football league website that saw football fans pick their favoured organisation from a shortlisted five; Everyman (us!), The Bobby Moore Fund, Care of Police Survivors, Marie Curie and Help for Heroes.
As the official charity partner, Help for Heroes will have an unrivalled exposure across The Football League, where clubs already have countless initiatives in place supporting the Armed Forces.
Following the participation of nearly 25,000 football fans in the process, the Board has selected Marie Curie, runner up to Help for Heroes, to be the official Partner for 2010/11.
Sir Bobby Robson
All of us here at Everyman are deeply saddened to hear the news that Sir Bobby Robson has passed away at the age of 76. He fought cancer an incredible 5 times. Sadly, 18 years after first being diagnosed he lost his battle.
Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this very difficult time.
Sir Bobby served the country as England National Coach from 1982-1990 and will forever be remembered as one of the nation's greatest ever football managers.
West Mercia Police raise nearly £400 for Everyman!
A charity football match was played between FC Bridgenorth Police and Bridgenorth Town at the Bridgenorth Town Football Club on 5th July 2009. Bridgenorth Police were beaten 10-1 but with Premiership referee Howard Webb staying after to sign footballs and t-shirts everyone was happy.
There was also a pig roast, raffle, bouncy castles and the crowds were kept entertained by "The Revettes" cheerleeders and cartoon characters Bugs Bunny and Sylvester the cat.
Best wishes to John Hartson
Everyone at Everyman and the Keep Your Eye on the Ball campaign send John Hartson our very best wishes.
The ex-Arsenal, Celtic and West Ham striker has testicular cancer which has spread to his brain, it has been confirmed.
The 34-year-old Welshman, who was capped by his country 51 times and retired last year, was diagnosed on Sunday at hospital in his home city of Swansea.
John's story is an example of how important it is to raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of testicular cancer as catching it early can mean a 99% cure rate. For more information click here.
