Jason Cundy supports the Everyman Campaign
2009 saw the launch of Everyman patron Jason Cundy’s Charity All-Stars 5-a-side match. The talkSPORT presenter and ex-Premiership star assembled a selection of celebrities to battle it out in a 5-a-side match, also featuring Everyman supporters, to raise awareness of testicular cancer. The game kicked off at 1pm on April 9 at Wimbledon Goals and was refereed by the Premier League’s busiest man in black, Peter Walton.
On the day, celebrities took part in testicular cancer survivor Darren Couchman’s own unique take on the penalty shoot out competition. The spot kick contest saw entrants trying to beat the keeper by kicking giant, pink fluffy balls rather than a normal football. Darren’s balls have already travelled the length and breadth of the country to raise money for Everyman, but this was the first time they have been kicked around a football pitch!
