The 2007 Keep Your Eye On The Ball 5K run for men was a fantastic success and saw hundreds of men competing in glorious sunshine at Victoria Park, London on Sunday 3rd June 2007.

A massive thank you goes out to all those men that took part and helped to raise over £23,000 for Everyman's male cancer  research.

In line with the football theme of the event, participants were given the opportunity to run on behalf of their chosen football club and similar to The FA Cup, the smaller clubs took on the big Premiership teams in the race to see who was fastest over 5K.  With over 20 clubs represented on the day there was some serious rivalry out on the field.

In true underdog style though the fastest average 5K was secured by the Southend United team who achieved a fantastic time of 20 minutes and 41 secs.

The inidividual runners put up a great performance as well and as far as we're concered everyone running on the day was a true winner!  However, our 1st place runner (Merghani Salih, running on behalf of Arsenal) came in at an outstanding 17 minutes 53 seconds.

He was closely followed by Leyton Orient player, Craig Easton and avid Millwall fan, Jake Goodman.  At just 14 years old, Jake was the the youngest competitor out on the field and he was delighted to beat his Millwall hero, Neil Harris.

Millwall striker and Everyman Patron, Neil

Harris, came in at 19 minutes 52 seconds

     to secure 5th place.

Congratulations goes to our Top 3
